We’re proud to partner with the television program Military makeover® to renovate the home of a Marine Corps veteran and his family in honor of their service and sacrifice to America.
This three-part series is hosted by award-winning actor and retired U. S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant R. Lee Ermey, best known for his role as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, and chronicles the home renovation for Marine Corps veteran Sergeant Ed Tague and his wife Mandi. Sgt. Tague served three tours in Iraq, seeing combat in the Second Battle of Fallujah, which produced some of the heaviest urban combat fought by U.S. Marines since the Vietnam War. After returning from his final tour, Tague found his calling by serving veterans as an employee of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This Fall, Tague plans to start working toward his master’s degree in social work to advance within the VA and serve veterans in an even more impactful way.
